A big storm rolled through my area on the 4th, and knocked out our power. We've been without electricity until maybe an hour ago.

There's supposed to be more storms tomorrow. I hope things don't repeat themselves...

storms are nice, but they suck for power.
hope you don't suffer any CPU damages like I have in the past.

Nope. I unplugged my laptop after we lost power specifically to avoid any possible surges. I'm using a surge protector (two of them, actually), but you can never be too careful.

No storms since, and it's been cooler as well (before the storms, we were hitting high 90s and even 100s; now, it's 70s to 80s).

Better to lose power in the summer than it is to lose it in winter. Especially if you live in the north.
