Soul Calibur
Man i love this game! When i use to live in Texas i played this at the bowling ally all the time. Talem is my favorite person to play. Love her two blades. I won so many times that i became the leader of a clan or whatever. This was back in 03, so is was sc 2.
My friend let me borrow sc4 for ps3 and i used to play it all the time. haha

I used to play Soul Edge back on the Dreamcast. Those controllers kind of sucked....

In my opinion, Talim was too easy to win with. She was short and her combos consisted of button mashing. She was like Maxi, but with less flash and more real attacks. As for the new ones, I've always had a friend or two that played them. I had a list of people that I would cycle through: Kilik, Ivy, Taki, Xianguah, Setsuka, Mitsurugi, Sophitia, and Hilde.
For some reason I always like Kilik and Ivy. Spent a lot of time working on their moves and combos. Kind of put the game down once I was able to do Ivy's special move against an actual opponent (the one where she holds her blade to their throat, and then they break apart and hit from every direction).

lol isn't that like the hardest move on the game to learn or something? XD
I only knew a few people that were actually good with her...most people just learned that and ran with it lol
Nightmare, Taki, Cassandra and Cervantes - for as long as each of them were in the series x]
Just before I stopped playing it i was learning Setsuka =v=

I'd say the move was up there on the list of difficult ones. What made it that way was having your opponent within throw distance, so it would actually work. Ivy had some pretty wicked moves in general!
One other thing that I really liked about Soul Calibur, was that in "Training", the game would demonstrate what the move/combo actually looked like. So you as the player would know if you were doing it right. That feature would come in handy atm for MvC3. lol

Re: Soul Calibur
I love these games, I played soul blade, but missed the first soul calibur game as I didn't have a dreamcast. I got all 3 versions of number 2, also have 3 and 4. I usual play as Kilik or Maxi.
Re: Soul Calibur
Talim is a little hottie, what with her tan skin and sandals.
Errm... I mean...
Soul Calibur 2 on the Gamecube will forever be one of my favorite fighting games ever. I said Gamecube because it had Link in it, which is what made me start paying attention to the series in the first place. Link was awesome, but then I discovered my eternal fighting game love Xianghua. :3
SC3 was alright, but it didn't have the same luster as SC2. SC4 was a travesty; too many guest fighters that did not actually have their own fighting style, and those damn Star Wars characters.

I agree with all of that, Link got me started as well, Talim is Hot and Star wars had no place in a fantasy game.
I also wana say Nightmare & Sigfreed are my fave charactors. I Know, I know, everyone says there cheep, but if u use the punch moves and dont spam the thrust and keep backing up the there awesome. I also like Zasalamell and his evil form (I dont remember the name) and Mitsurugi and... Well lots of people, this is about to become my Blaze Blue post all over again if I start listing EVERY charactor in the game.
