Synopsis
When her mother runs off with her latest boyfriend, Ohana Matsumae is sent to live with her grandmother, who she has never met nor spoken to. Her grandmother is not pleased to find Ohana on her doorstep, and sets her to work at her Taisho-era (1920s) hot springs inn. It's not a lifestyle that Ohana would have chosen, but she decides not to be discouraged and to make the most of her difficult circumstances.

i enjoy this anime very much. it seems to me its about making tha best of a crappy situation. sometimes (and i would kno and im sure others would too) life throws crap at you and you can wallow in it, or make tha best of it and rise above it.
i like ohana very much, however her grandmother intrigues me much more. as u get farther into tha series its not hard to see why.
also, there seems to be a love triangle going on, after that last episode lol . . . idk maybe im wrong

i think that she wanted to like ko but couldnt . . . and that she will come to terms with losing him as a good friend . . . which seems to me what she wanted him to stay as but doing that would hurt him
