I'm more of a fan of the mainstream anime. So I like (or should i say liked) adult swim's anime. I miss the old anime they showed ( i.e. fma, gits, .hack//, big o, inuyasha, gundam, s-CRY-ed, yu yu hakusho). I do realize that several of the shows listed above are still being shown, but I truly miss the line up of when these shows were premiering. Furthermore, I've learned never to expect anything good from adult swim. Kekkaishi: big waste of airtime. So, discuss!!

why? Inst is easier since u can understand them? I understand there are bad dubs but over all I think most anime maintain quality in translation.

lol the dub voices just sound annoying...
they always get the wrong voice actors for the wrong characters

I used to love AS anime along time ago...It was cool back in the 1990's and early 2000's...They used to play anime every single day, not just on Saturday...They used to have Dragon Ball right before Aeon Flux (which AS took from MTV)...That was the shiznit...But now AS totally blows...I tried to watch it 2 weekends ago & had to turn it off...Their line up sucks & the voice actors sucked also...SMH

eh,I still watch adult swim ANIME cause everything else is kinda off. I wish they would air more anime though. if they grew a set they should air ikki tousen,air gear, and sekirei on AS

they arent going to . . . they even moved to removed anime completely in tha past . . . AS hate anime otaku. its a fact . . . so theyve made it so that otaku wont watch AS . . . they only want casual anime watchers

Adult Swim use to be great, but they fell apart when they started to appeal more to the frat boys and their brand of humor.


Also, dubbed anime is great. People tend to hate dubs only because they don't understand Japanese, and thus can't understand how good or bad a job the Japanese actors are actually doing with their roles. Just as they are great and poor American VAs, there are great and poor Japanese VAs.

exactly. I don't care what language or dub its in,anime is anime and I like it all. now if they take stuff out of the anime (certain scenes, language, certain episodes) like with one piece then I'll have a problem with it. but mostly its all the same just different language.

AS is the only way I watch anime. can't afford to buy it and i dont have the time to get into a new one. i would try and read one, but i dont have the time (i spend my nights watching the MSNBC 'evening' programs or primetime shows).

say what you will about AS, but if you don't have the time and/or money it is better than nothing.

and sometimes the sub voices don't fit either (when compared to the manga).
