Manga in Japanese

Post by Cheza on Fri Sep 09, 2011 2:38 pm

Has anyone ever tried reading one that was in japanese? I want to a least try one of these days....i wonder what would be a simple one to read?

I know one thing....Deathnote would be too damn complicated in my opinion. hahah

I would be interested in trying it...if it was all in hiragana x_x"""

Try reading Yotsubato. I posted some info about it in the forums.

Find manfa that had furigana. That's hiragana over the kanji. Very Happy Makes life easier.lol

Lol. Google it and look for the japanese copy. It has kanji, but the furigana at the top so you can read it. Furigana is hiragana

Hell no. If and until I learn Japanese, I'm sticking to English-translated manga. Smile

Lol it's just practice once you know a lot of the basic grammar. Then you can try to read it.

It's best to try to read something not so complicated and actiony. Like slice of life stories. The wont have too many complex terms in it and such.

even so, I bet it would take a lot longer to read in Hiragana than it would in English.

Kodomo no Jikan isn't even available in English

I suppose it's possible
but I like to own the manga, not just read it online or something

true, very true
but for some reason I feel the need to own
I've read online before and even checked them out from the library, but it just didn't feel the same to me.
in the words of Konata Izumi, "When you love something, don't you want to own everything it has to offer?"

haha

I feel ya on that. But me personally, I have a habit of only reading things once. So for me to just buy it just to read once is a waste.

But i know i understand the feeling it and having it part. It does feel better. Feels more real or something.

well whatever you wanna do is fine. I'm sure I've already spent a small fortune in all the manga and DVDs I've collected, so at least you're saving money in that sense.
