Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Don't own the game, but a friend has it on PS3. I like it, even if it is lacking in gameplay modes (particularly in the Offline Mode).

I use Zero (been a favorite since Tatsunoko vs. Capcom), Morrigan, Crimson Viper, Taskmaster, Amaterasu, Arthur, and Deadpool. I'm also trying to get Dormammu down.

They annoyed me when they didn't put Megaman in the game, saying that he wouldn't work. Which is a bunch of BS, because Megaman was already in MvC1 AND MvC2, and they used Megaman Volnutt in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. In both games he worked very well, so I think they pulled that excuse out of their ass.

Like the promised Story mode. Instead, we just got an Arcade mode, 4 special movies, and a tie-in comic that only comes with the Special Edition.

not jus that but instead of tha promised characters IN tha game u gotta buy tha DLC to GET them =/ . . . friggin rip off if u ask me!! 60 bucks for a damn game that doesnt HAVE everything that SHOULD be in there to begin wit? SCREW THAT!!!

Yep. Capcom has hopped on the DLC bandwagon. What's worse is that Jill and Shuma-Gorath were already on the disk; people have hacked both of them before they were officially available. So basically people are paying for an unlock code.

Though, they did say that the hacked Jill and Shuma-Gorath were broken messes, and they decided to wait for the official DLC to fix those problems.

i liked it better when DLC's were meant to supplement a game that was already good, to add to it more . . . and letting not very well known game makers sell their game by download but now it seems like they jus butt rape consumers

Yep. A lot of developers seem to be using DLC as an excuse to sell an incomplete game a full price, and then gouge money out of the consumers for content that should have been in the game in the first place.

Thankfully, MvC3 is still fun, especially with friends.

Actually, MvC3 is arguably better than MvC2. MvC2 had way too many characters and some serious balance issues. Plus, there were few modes of play as far as I can recall.

It did. It also came out on the PSX, but due to hardware limitations, it didn't have the tag-based gameplay that the series is known for; instead it adopted the traditional round format.

Have this for 360. Very fun to play. messing around with a Jill, Zero, Captain America for now since i still haven't picked my overall mains yet but leaning towards a X-23, Zero, and Captain America or Hagger team

why do they bother with some of the $#!+ charactors they put in. this game is missing the best players and is giving us crap. I like it but this could have been I game Id love. the following charators SUCK. Shuma-gorath(rape beast), She-Hulk, Viper, Task master (hes a tall version of Arther) Hager (Zangeef is better). well I think I listed all the crap charactors but ther may be more.

I disagree. I use Shuma-Gorath, C.Viper, and Taskmaster, and I'm decent with them.

Haggar's game came out before Zangief was invented, so if anything Zangief is copying from Haggar. Plus, this way the game isn't bogged down by Street Fighter characters. C.Viper, I knew that SF4 was going to get a rep, and I'm glad that it was someone decent instead of someone like Rufus, though I would have also accepted Juri.

Also, less characters means that the game is more balanced, and balance is something that MvC2 SEVERELY lacked; not to mention that a lot of characters in MvC2 are not relevant in either Capcom or Marvel anymore. Plus, there's always DLC.

On the note of characters, I agree with there being some poor choices. I just really wish that they would have added Hiryu Strider from MvC2. Another thing I would like to address too, is the fact that there IS NOT a balance between moves. The move sets reflect the characters, got that. Why then, does Dante have 30 moves/attacks, while Sentinal has 5 (mind you these are exaggerations, and we all know Sentinal sucks)?

In any case I still enjoy the game, and will be trying to get better. Just wanted to drop a couple pennies.
