i think you can learn some words and phrase but i think you probably need a classes to deepen your grasp on the language

Yeah only words and with phrases you have to be careful.

It's like Japanese people trying to lean English by watching Spongbob. We don't talk about krabby patties and stuff in rl. haha

well i talk about krabby patties all tha time! . . . im insulted! >_>

lolz jk . . . no u hav a point . . . they dont even inflect as much emotion when they talk in real life than in anime either . . . at least it isnt that way when i talk to ppl who are fluent . . .

well yes but in society you conform unless youre a rock star or tv or movie star . . . its how their culture is . . . like wearing bright colors . . . usually thas reserved for stars to get attention not actual every day ppl

I wish I had a nice girlfriend to keep me company. ...But first I have to get a car and a job, my lack of both which was apparently the catalyst of the breakup with my last girlfriend (though I have a suspicion that it was something else than that).


Anyway, I don't think anime is good for learning Japanese, since I read that anime doesn't even use proper Japanese. They say that J-dramas are much better for learning the language.
