great football rivals throughout the game
here i would like to say some of the greatest football rivals were from the 70's to the 80's
the cowboys vs the steelers
the giants vs san francisco
the cowboys vs the packers
the bears vs the packers
these are a few but the games were amazing. . . feel free to post some of the amazing rivalries you all loved watching videos of or growing up with

Re: great football rivals throughout the game
There's also the Jets and Patriots or well just the patriots and any other team in the AFC lol
I would also say the Steelers and Ravens too because every game i see is just a slug out from beginning to end .A modern one but one that will continue to grow imo

i agree with the jets and patriots because they always are causing some media drama lol
and i love the ravens vs the steelers because that is just war. . . reminds me of the videos i saw of the raiders vs the steelers back in the 70's

Re: great football rivals throughout the game
There wasn't a stipulation on what type of football. I'm more of an NCAA fan.
Cornhuskers (NE) vs. Gators (FL) / Seminoles (FLS) / Longhorns (TX) / Sooners (OK)
Army vs. Navy / Air Force

yeah i agree with those but if Illinois and Northwestern have another game like they did at Wrigley Field it would be great... if a little crowded lol

Re: great football rivals throughout the game
what about coaching rivalries ?
the only two i know of are....
Buddy Ryan and Mike Ditka after Buddy went to the Eagles
Bill Belichick and Eric Mangini after Mangini went to the Jets although with Mangini losing his coaching job i think that one will go away unless he finds more work

lol it makes most rivalry games amazing to see that guy get his block knocked off. . . to make you get out your seat and be like. . . "dude did u see that hit!!!!" . . . i guess thats why i liked the old steelers and raiders games because there was literally blood on the field
