I am trying to figure out what kinds of things would be good to give away as winnings for our upcoming contests this summer but im having trouble deciding. Now it can be general items or it can be specific items you, yourself would like to see available to win, it doesnt matter either way. Please vote and give me your own opinion.

whats tha point in being a member if youre not going to participate? and if you have been participating and reading all of our updates and information we've posted this last month and a friggin half than you kno that myself and Cheza as admins hav been doing everything possible to make this place fun and safe for everyone . . . if you dont want to win free S*** than dont participate . . . it doesnt hurt me or anyone else and it means i get to ship one less box out to an ungrateful member

It was a split decision. I think it's kind of a rhetorical question, when you ask someone if they want free stuffs. Especially if said free stuffs, iz actually useful and/or liked.

In regard to not knowing though. The contests haven't been revealed in any way, so that's why I'm unsure of how to answer the poll. For example. If there were a contest of who could write the best Yaoi/Yuri fan fiction, I'd most definitely be SOL. Which means free stuffs wouldn't really matter to me. If on the other hand, there was a PvP match on Black Ops. Then I'd be more inclined to participate.

If an answer is all that is needed though. YEZZZZ! GIVE ME SUM EPICALLY AWESOME FREE STUFFS!

Also, if a given contest isn't quite me cup o'tea. Then I freely offer sarcasm and possibly kudos.

well first of all let me make it clear that mods and admins are not eligible for entering in contests, as this is for our members, whom we admin and moderate, their treat for actively participating and sticking with us through real slow patches as Cheza and I hav RL we've had to attend to lately.

also . . . though tha contests themselves hav not been revealed bc they are completely my project, i can assure everyone i will be holding contests bi weekly that will be up everyones ally . . . I DO NOT intend to leave anyone out what-so-ever so please breathe easy

i suppose there will be a lot of skepticism for now but i have not faltered when it came to APP so far. if there is any question of dedication to this forum or its members that will be SQUASHED completely in a matter of weeks.

also, as we get more and more new members, there will be positions that will need filled within tha forum and possibly outside of tha forum that will require dedication so ill be looking at our senior members

so when positions are announced any interested parties can message me and Cheza and i will review your services to APP (through posting, contest participation and/or Japanese class participation, post ratings and so on). so for future reference i would advise that anyone that can not come to APP at least regularly in a part-time manner, not nominate themselves for a position because they do require an amount of responsibility

Since theres been a very limited response to my questions (except for tha poll its self) im going to not bother with contests or prizes until i see us getting more participation. i mean, i cant even get anyone to tell me specifically wut games they would like and thas crap since there are a butt load dropping this year, some of which are already out.

I don't have a 360. I have a PS3 and a Wii. so if the games are gonna be xbox then it doesn't make much difference to me. those video contests sounded fun tho. maybe we should hold a dance off or karaoke contest (tho I have no idea what I'd sing).

in that case we gotta have a Smash Bros. Brawl tourney or something. that's the best fighter game of all time imo. you wouldn't just move backwards and forwards in a real fight. if you're smart, you'd use the terrain to your advantage!

i would like to see Dead Space 2, and BlazBlue Continuum Shift for 360
then for psp The 3rd Birthday

the stuff she listed were:

VGs, PS3 system, Anime Themed items like plushies, wall scrolls, key chains, etc. Anime on dvd and blue ray, xbox 360 system, and a custom drawling.

oh, wow. I think that pretty much covers everything I could have suggested.

maybe some CD's? there's a lot of good JP music out there, only a fraction of which is covered by anime.

i think this is a wonderful idea to get people more involved.
im sure what you pick will be good enough and when people complain tell them that they should have said something when you were asking for ideas

i can help you out picking the wall scrolls and the key chain if you wont
