So it's been a good few years since I last played Majora's Mask.
Of course, I decided to play it again so I could pwn a noob as Deity Link.
So I'm using a walkthrough to be SURE, I get all the masks.

I'm now at this really annoying part where you're supposed to go back to day 1, after you beat Goht, and beat him again to have more time to complete the post-dungeon side-quest to get the better sword in the game. Unfortunately, this upgrade can ONLY be attained on the 1st day.
I just finished the temple, and basically have 9 in-game hours left.
SO, I'm gonna try to get the powder keg, open up the Goron Race Track, WIN the race, and get the gold dust to the smiths in the Mountain Village, without restarting and beating that irritating cow again. ^_^

Can I do it? O . O I'll find out, soon enough! ^__^

only 9 hours? that seems like it took a while if you've already beat him before. did you go through the whole dungeon again, or use the warp point at the start of the temple to go right to Goht? also, did you play the Song of Time backwards to play the Song of Inverted Time and slow time down to 1/2 speed? do that and it should only take an hour or two of in-game time to beat Goht.

i do it on newer games mostly cuz it goes to show how ridiculously stingy game developers are nao a days . . . >_>

well you kinda have to time yourself on Majora's Mask. you only have 3 days before the end of the world after all. the only other game I ever timed myself on was Megaman X. I played through that so many times I can beat all 8 Mavericks i about 2 hours, maybe 2 1/2 including every heart container, sub-tank, and armor upgrade including the secret hadoken move.

probably another hour to deal with Sigma and his fortress.

Oh, I slowed time. And only went through once. That's why it took so long.
Basically, I was saying, I don't feel like fighting him again. lol
So I'm gonna try to do this in one shot.

oh, i see i see. took me a little longer coz I'm really trying this time around to collect every lost fairy. I remember one fairy in particular always gave me trouble in the Great Bay Temple.

I got all the fairies except the last one. No need for the Great Fairy Sword, since I was planning to go god-mode. Or Deity-mode, rather. > Very Happy

I had trouble beating MMX fast WITH ARMax codes. lol
I'm terrible since I haven't played in so long.
Also, I still think the PS2 control feel awkward for that game.

Anyway, 3 or 4 days, and I beat it. Took long enough.
But it was worth it. Very Happy

Also, the only game I really time myself on is LoZ: ALttP.
3 hours or so. NOT getting everything, obviously.
But 0 deaths. Very Happy

I don't think I could ever beat a game that fast. Not because I'm incapable of doing so, but because I'm a total dungeon crawler. I have to find every treasure, every secret, explore every nook and cranny. I get a sense of satisfaction out of finding everything like that.

Like yesterday when I was playing Metal Gear Solid 3. I defeated The Pain, and I could have left right away. But I looked around a bit and found some Snow Camo and a 12 gauge shotgun ^_^

Snow camo and a 12 gauge makes almost anything worth the extra effort.
This is funny; you're not the first person I've heard this from.
I really didn't know there were so many anal-gamers out there.
It's cool, 'cause it makes all the developers' efforts worth the while.

Unlike, me. I usually only go that extra mile if I get something
that'll ridiculously overpower me. Like the fierce Deity Mask. ^_^

I don't think I'd say I'm anal. I guess that by trying to find as much stuff as I can I'm preparing myself for the worst possible scenario. Luck favors the prepared, right?
