i really liked it too . . . it was so gritty and i love movies that are fairly historical

This is one of the few movies I've seen that follows the graphic novel very, very closely. I'm even talking frame by frame. Unlike the movie Wanted, that kept some of the elements, but otherwise allowed Hollywood to completely strip the storyline. That may be another thread entirely though.
Back on topic, Frank Miller has a knack for writing and depicting awesome things in his work. I for one, am a fan of his Sin City work.
One last thing. Everyone seems pretty motivated by the movie 300. It came out in theatres right before I shipped out to Basic Training. I wanted to kick every person square in the chest while screaming any rendition of that line mentioned in other posts! lolz

Good movie.
Very nice special effects, but I think too much slow motion.
