Re: Random Chat Thread
Due to the retardation that is found frequently throughout the military, we have many jokes that work their way into our minds that everyone knows. I'm hoping that you readers find some humor in these. I'll explain them in short.
"Hit the independent!" - Last night, the guys on duty were watching "Unstoppable". A Denzel movie, about a run away train. At one point, he's yelling the above quote. At which point the 5 of us watching it immediately nab as our own personal quote. A fail safe remark in order to fix any unforseen problem that comes up. Since not a single one of us know a damn thing about trains, or how to conduct them.
"Hydration Gloves" - While training at the Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ in Jan 2009. We were out in the desert, when a detail for our Troop comes up. The uniform put out included gloves, helmet, and eye protection (ballistic eyewear). There was nothing put out for our camelbak (water source....would be useful right?). So we came to the conclusion that our gloves had the miraculous ability to keep us hydrated! We did take water, because that's common sense....
---------------------------------
For the moment, that's all I have off the top of me head. Got work shortly, so I'll add more as time goes on. If you all like them that is.

tornado warnings don't scare me anymore. I must have heard a hundred tornado warnings in my life and I've never seen one. until I actually see one bearing down on me, I couldn't care less anymore.MoonDoggie wrote:the rain and wind were so bad here we had a tornado warning a few days ago.... i thought my window was gonna blow in ._.

Re: Random Chat Thread
yesterday I was reminded of those old sayings that girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice while boys are made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails. I never did like the thought of being made out of those things...especially the puppy dog tails. So I came up with a new one.
Otaku are made of ramen noodles, chocolate bars, and lots of tiny lucky stars ^_^
