I am not sure what to do now...so much has come up. I know for a fact i cant keep up with the forum without any help and 2 of my help has to leave for a while or maybe forever...not sure. Sad

I really want to see this forum be successful, but i guess that will have to be put on hold. I've been noticing the forum has been dying lately. I guess the few members we have are really busy in real life. I know i can be and have been.

I was thinking about maybe closing the forum for a while until thinks are stable here, but i don't know. What does everyone think? I know this can be a place to keep in touch with old friends, but i don't want it to just die. I can maybe send a mass email to all of you when the forum is back up if i decide to close it. I want this place to be lively and fun, but right now it's kind of dead and depressing. I really appreciate all of you that are posting and being active. Thank you very much. I just...don't know what to do...

Btw, if i do close it nothing will be deleted, but will hide the forum so no one can post and see anything. Like a forum vacation.

Anyways, i want feedback everyone.

i want this site to be successful too.. i wanted to see that dream of yours and KKs comes true..
it seems everyone is going though a very hard time right now.. i am too..
i dont want you to close the forums... but if you think thats what best then i understand and hope that it reopens soon...

It would stink if this place closes, but if you can't really do anything about it I guess there's no other choice. :/ Like you said, you can always bring it back. And who knows maybe now that it's the summer people might come on more. At least it's livelier than the AF if that makes any difference, lol.

Hm....well If i do keep this forum around, there wont be any prizes contests besides maybe the avatar and munny ones and updates might be a little slower. The main things i need help with is moderating and updating anime on the forum. Also, trying to get people here.

sometimes real life gets in the way. I'd hate to see this place closed down, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. managing a website takes time and effort. especially one as well done as the APP, so don't be too hard on yourself, whatever you decide.

i cant do much in the way of inviting people, other than via twitter (my twitter is syned up to my mispace). facebook nearly every one from there is here atm.

I agree i do not wish to see it closed down or for it to die and such :/
for what its worth personally i don't do too much of anything anymore
So me not posting every now and then is the reg for me
SO if you don't close it down I'll be around....still if you do ill be back when ever the forum is back Rolling Eyes

ALSO Not to be the negative nelly or anything I don't exactly think closing it down is the problem solver
if its gonna die its gonna die no use in sticking it in a time capsule >_>

I think the trick is that we're trying to invite people and make it an active community, yet at the same time people have expressed concerns about inviting people who will just be trolls. We want more people, but we're being cautiously selective about it. We even have a topic called "Who from the AF should be invited".

it's like some anime forum secret ops mission. weed out the ones we know will cause trouble, and recruit the ones who will follow our manifesto without sounding the alarm.

the problem being that internet trolls, much like your typical DnD trolls, have regenerative properties. no matter how many times you "kill" them they will just get up again. usually by making a new account. according to the rules of most Dungeons and Dragons style games, the only way to bring a troll to true death is to close the wounds and prevent the healing process by burning the skin with fire or acid.

First of all, my apologies to everyone. It wasn't my intention to be absent like this. I just recently got out of the Army, and after driving for nearly a full week, just got Home. So my absence may continue for a little while longer. It's been a harder transition than originally planned, but I'll be back after things get settled.
