RP Story: Harkyu Haunted House (OOC~ thread)

sorry it took so long to make folks, had to iron a few wrinkles so to speak but your wait has paid off and here is the first official rp story for APP courtesy of myself.this thread will be used first for me to explain the story and its details and any questions posters may have concerning the story will be answered here.

Harkyu Haunted House

For some color haha. and now a brief intro:

The setting is Fukuoka, Japan

Enter, mid august. the weather is warm, the breeze is cool and the times are good. also for most school is out and many are relaxing in summer while some are preparing for school's opening. for young takuo fuji is it an exciting time in his life. coming all the way from shizuoka takuo has graduated from high school and will soon be attending college. though takuo is indeed happy about going out on his own to college so far away his parents were even more happy (cause they didn't have to deal with him anymore) Enter Shizua University,one of the premium and well known colleges in southern japan. as such attendence is quite high this year and the dorms,though large, are packed to the gills. sadly for takuo there were no dorms available for him to stay in. but the dean of the college (wicked as he is) suggested for takuo to reside at another dorm, the long forgotten harkyu dormitory. little did takuo know that the dorm was occupied....and also..haunted.

Name:Takuo Fuji

Age:19

Sex:Male

Race:Human

General Appearance: sort of pudgy but mostly normal sized for his height. when not wearing school uniform he wears a robin blue shirt with the word "fight" on it and black silk pants with all black sneakers.

Eyes:brown

Hair:black (short and straight)

Height:5'9

Weight:206

Equipment:cell phone (prepaid, as he doesn't have much money he can't afford more

Biography:an energetic and generally carefree individual. also pretty absentminded at times so he tends to forget things and doesn't take important situations seriously. because of this however he is rarely frightened by anything (except bees) and handles any problem without fear or regret. not sure of what he wants to do(for a living) he hopes to search many possible things in college

Alignment:Good

Skills/ Abilities:able to see ghosts even if they hide themselves from normal eyes and strike them as well unbesknownst to him. has sonicboom sneezes.

Name:Otoko

Age:102

Sex:Female

Race:Human (Spellcaster)

General Appearance: despite her being 102 yrs. old she looks to be in her early 30's thanks to her spellcaster powers. build is slender and curvy like a model and well endowed (wink) wears a long red spandex-like outfit with holes cut on the outside of her left and right leg. the legs of the outfit are cut to her ankles. it also has thin straps so you can see her shoulders. plus dons a strange brace on her left arm (which will be explained in the rp) and red slippers

Eyes:Green

Hair:Dark Green (long and slightly wavy,runs down to her lower back)

Height:5'10

Weight:175

Equipment: sometimes summons a scythe that when she wants can sent the individual struck to the spirit realm

Biography: a powerful spellcaster and the controller of all the ghosts at harkyu.having been imprisoned at the harkyu dorm for 46 years by a warlock's spell she is quite bitter and thus takes out her frustration on any(living)thing that enters the building.very cunning and wise as she has lived for over a century and often uses that to her advantage in crunch situations. a spellcaster with a deep knowledge of the spirit world and of ghosts in general. after a encounter with takuo however she becomes a bit more friendly but often uses her womanly wiles to get takuo to do what she wants.

Alignment:Evil at first (once the brace is removed from her arm she turns good)

Skills/ Abilities:uses a number of different spells and charms to protect against or destroy her foes. can travel to and from the spirit realm using an incantation in a certain part of harkyu.




Name:Hem

Age:45 (was created 45 years ago by otoko)

Sex:Male

Race:magic born human

General Appearance: wears a black,long sleeved shirt and dressed pants and shoes. also wears white gloves similar to a butler.(has looked this way since birth)

Eyes:brown

Hair:black (medium length and straight,reaches to his shoulders. often keeps it in a ponytail)

Height:5'10

Weight:190

Equipment:none

Biography:a creation of otoko's magic thus he is very loyal to her. does whatever is asked of him whether it be grocery shopping or destroying an intruder. while otoko was trapped in the haunted dorm for 45 years hem was able to come and go freely thus he was the one who got things for her outside the dorm. when not around otoko he is fairly talkative and well mannered. also likes to play various board games when not doing work for otoko, like go, checkers, and chess.

Alignment:same as otoko's

Skills/ Abilities: can turn his hands into sharp shadow claws to slash enemies. can also slip in and out of shadows freely.




Name:Sayuri

Age:20 (since she died at that age she looks the same)

Sex:Female

Race:Ghost

General Appearance: has the same outfit on when she was living. an older version of the current college uniform. white dress shirt with tan necktie and a slightly longer tan(light orange) skirt. (reaches to her knees) and dressed white shoes

Eyes:Blue

Hair:Blue (medium length, reaches to her shoulder blade, and straight)

Height:5'8

Weight:N/A

Equipment:none (as she is a ghost)

Biography:since her death as an attendant at shizua academy her spirit resided in a small cabin in the forest directly behind the harkyu dorm. despite being a ran ghost (I will explain the two different ghost types later) she has kept all her personality traits from when she was alive. a kind-hearted spirit,very courteous and understanding of others. after she meets takuo she becomes quite attached to him despite his offbeat nature. even though but a ghost she appears full and lively which is why takuo mistakes her for a living human.

Skills/ Abilities:can erect powerful energy shields that can block anything, physical or spiritual




Name:Kyosuke Bakura

Age:19

Sex:Male

Race:Human
General Appearance: always wears a black hoodie with a dark green,long sleeved shirt and dark green jeans. also black and white colored sneaker shoes.

Eyes:Dark purple

Hair:Black (very short)

Height:5'9

Weight:198

Equipment: keeps an ipod in his pocket which he rarely pulls out and headphones that he keeps around the neck of his hoodie

Biography:a seemingly dark individual and not very sociable at all. rarely talks even when he's called on in class. not much is known about his family or where he's from but he seems to have a connection with the spirit realm. in a brief encounter with takuo he immediately senses takuo's hidden potential power and that he has had contact with spirits. it is unknown as to even where he lives since he doesn't inhabit any of the dorms though some have said when not in school he is seen frequenting the funeral home to the south of town.

Alignment:indifferent at the moment

Skills/ Abilities:can sense spiritual presense in anyone who may have any and can somewhat see ghosts. (later he develops a unique spirit power)

Major: Economics

these are some characters you can choose but of course you're free to make up a character if you see fit. now in the town of fukuoka there are several places of interest that can and will be mentioned in the story. here they are:

Fukuoka-

Shizua Academy(located in northwest fukuoka): one of the premier colleges in the country,shizua academy's popularity has grown rapidly throughout japan as one of the main academic faculties which has produced several hundred successful and well-known individuals in society today. the academy is made up by three buildings. the main building which is in the center is actually comprised of two connected buildings. the largest one in front is where the majority of the academy's classes are located as well as the dean's office,administration,the academy admission desk,teacher's lounge,main cafeteria,computer room,and academy library all spread out in the three story facility. the building connected behind it contains several more classes. the building to the left is the arts and culture building where many courses on art,music,dancing,and general culture are held and it also has a theatre where performances are seen monthly. the building to the right is the sports and fitness building where many courses on fitness and body building are held. this section is also equipped with a weight training room,locker rooms,showers, and an indoor basketball and tennis court as well as an indoor pool. academy dorms are located just across the street.

Fukuoka Station(located in the northmost part of town a few miles east of shizua): the main port of all transportation in and out of the town. incoming subway trains frequent the station which transport people either back to the mainland or further south of the island. during spring and summer and the holidays it is constantly busy.

Kamishi public library(located about a mile southeast of shizua academy): one of the five top ranked libraries in the country this two story building contains many shelves of books, some of which were thought to be lost to the world. many people visit this library daily as it also has many computers free to be used by the general public.

Niko-mart(located a half-mile south of kamishi library: a major grocery chain in japan,niko-mart has recently become quite popular, especially among the town's youth. a store for all your grocery and retail needs

Fukuoka park(located in the dead center of town): a beautiful park where many go to take leisurely walks,see the unaltered nature life and just get away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Cemetary(located on the southern outskirts of town):a dreary place where many are laid to rest. a funeral home is also located in the upper section though it is mostly uninhabited. only the unusual funeral director is seen here most of the time.


ok there are a few more things that need explaining but once we get some rp'ers posting here and I return I will explain them all. this is gonna be fun..
