Anyone want to live in Japan?
I'd love to visit, but I doubt I'd want to live there for an extended period of time. The only exception would be if I met someone there and got married to her, and she was not willing to move back to the States with me (at least, not right away).
Re: Anyone want to live in Japan?
no.
i would love to visit and maybe stay for a few weeks

I theorize that America will someday get on the nerves of enough countries and they will gang up on us to get us out of the picture.
Now I hope I'm wrong. This is my home after all. But just in case I am right, I'm probably moving to Japan. I could also see Canada or Australia as potential spots.

Re: Anyone want to live in Japan?
oh yeah, I forgot about the giant spiders. *shivers*
okay, Australia is out. I'll visit, but I'm not living anywhere a spider is big enough to prey on farm animals. forget paper towels or shoes, I'm killing this thing with either a sword or a gun.

I've given a long thought or two, to moving to Japan for an unknown length of time. Just to go on an adventure, and experience a part of the world I want to know so much more about.
Life has a way of making you see things differently though. So at the moment I've put those plans on the back burner so to speak. A visit would be awesome though! One day I'll get there.

Re: Anyone want to live in Japan?
That's completely understandable. It's great to be with your grandmother in her last days.KomachiHime-sama wrote:ill go eventually but for now it's more important for me to go to tha Philippines and visit my family . . . my grandmother is ailing in her health and i would like for her to spend time with my children before she passes. they are her great grandkids . . . tha youngest of many

I thought about it for awhile, but I think the language barrier would be a big problem in the end. I wanna try and learn Japanese but idk I've heard it's a really complicated language to learn. Like someone said, Canada sounds like a better option. Probably the Vancouver area since it's not as cold as the rest of the country.
Re: Anyone want to live in Japan?
Japanese isnt really that difficult. Cheza is teaching the basics. And it's easier to learn while everyone is speaking it to you. Dont let the movies and media fool you. In every major country English is required in school. So even if its bad or broken English, young people can speak it. Though, they may not act like it all the time.TalkingFiction wrote:I thought about it for awhile, but I think the language barrier would be a big problem in the end. However, speaking another language depends on tha person and their preferences . . . so if u do go to Canada, perhaps some French-Canadian may be in order lolz . . . interestingly enough I already know that language too

i wouldn't mind doing what i did in Israel... Spend a few months to a year in Japan.
and i can back up what KK is saying, i sometimes (all this time later) find my self thinking in hebrew (not that i know a lot)...

Re: Anyone want to live in Japan?
@dave . . . thanks lol and i dont blame u. once youre absorbed in it its much much easier rather than harder. i think its getting over a fear of being isolated by a language barrier.
@animaniac . . . i kno exactly wut u mean xD
