Re: Official Naruto Thread
I doubt they'll do that. Especially since there's a second Naruto series on now (that Rock Lee series). Plus, they could always use fillers to let the manga get far ahead, like they're done many times already.
A shame that Bleach was canceled for that Rock Lee spinoff, but oh well...

Re: Official Naruto Thread
Wait bleach was cancelled? I thought it was just finished.
Rocklee spin off? He was popular?! haha

Re: Official Naruto Thread
everybody knows Rock Lee was the backbone of that series. Sasuke would have been rescued in about 30 seconds if they had sent in Lee

No, it was getting low ratings, so they decided to cancel it. They were catching up with the manga anyway, and I guess they got tired of putting random filler arcs in the middle of canon arcs. Maybe they'll revive the Bleach anime after the manga ends (which is supposedly in its final arc), a la Inuyasha: Final Act.Cheza wrote:Wait bleach was cancelled? I thought it was just finished.

Well, they did send Lee, but didn't he get his butt kicked until Gaara bailed him out?Guardian Dragon wrote:everybody knows Rock Lee was the backbone of that series. Sasuke would have been rescued in about 30 seconds if they had sent in Lee
Re: Official Naruto Thread

I saw a pic of the rock lee show...didnt look that interesting anyways.
I'm disappointed they messed up naruto like this...they should just not make anymore anime until they manga is caught up. Not hard. espically since we waste out times watching fills that might be really good, but have nothing to do with the story....
Re: Official Naruto Thread
The problem is that them waiting for the manga to get far enough ahead by putting the anime on hiatus is tantamount to cancellation in Japan, so they pretty much HAVE to make filler so that they both give the manga time to create more material, and prevent them from losing their TV slot to another and possibly more successful show.
Re: Official Naruto Thread
Oooooh didnt know what.
How do you know all this stuff?! lol
Well that makes sense.

Re: Official Naruto Thread
I mainly read about it on other sites.
And yeah. Japanese TV operates very differently than American TV.

Re: Official Naruto Thread
Well, that helps in more ways than one. For instance, it gives people an opportunity to catch up on episodes they missed. And it gives the actors and writers some much-needed vacation time.
For Japan, I imagine that the animators, writers, and voice actors are on call year-round. Then again, Japan as a whole is pretty workaholic.

Re: Official Naruto Thread
Wow that is true...so much work...
Japan comes out with new anime/shows all the time and i can see where they could easily get their spot taken. Unlike in America where it seems much harder. Not just anyone can make a show and get it put on tv.

Re: Official Naruto Thread
Yep. You either need money, or you need to find investors who are interested enough to fund it, but then they pretty much control the entire show and can even fire you from working on your own creation. Though I'm sure that also happens in Japan as well.
However, while they have anime, we have reality TV. >_>

Re: Official Naruto Thread
I don't think reality TV should even be considered real television >_<
