Pokemon Black/White is awesome. Random Wi-Fi battles are a godsend, even if it's the bare minimum.

Does anyone else think Gen 3 is under rated?

Re: Pokemon Topic
Yep. It gets way too much hate. Mainly from people who have intense nostalgia for Gen 2.NeedleHimer wrote:Does anyone else think Gen 3 is under rated?
Re: Pokemon Topic
In my honest opinion. Gen 3 has the best Pokemon. I mean seriously, everytime you see a Gen 3 you think, "This is a Gen2 or Gen4 Pokemon" Everytime I look at Gen 5 Pokemon and think, "These look so out of place" I realize I know more Gen 5 pokeomon right off then I do Gen 3. Of course I did skip R/S/E/D/P/Pl but I know more from Platinum than I do the GBA games. Imo, R/S/E are the best games, just because they're under dogs

Re: Pokemon Topic
For me, it's a tie between gen 3 and gen 5. Both have their quirks and unique designs. It especially helped that both are large batches with little to no relation to past generations, and helped with the reboot-esque aspect their regions has upon their introduction.
Re: Pokemon Topic
You know why you love 5th Gen. Cuz it makes you feel like your playing red and blue again. Playing B/W for some reason has the same feel as the first time you played R/B. Maybe cause they made it feel like a brand new game, not an addition to the new ones. Am I the only one who thinks D/P are weird? Like playing it just feels odd. Like it doesn't belong.Solar Crimson wrote:For me, it's a tie between gen 3 and gen 5. Both have their quirks and unique designs. Re: Pokemon Topic
I liked D/P
it was some good times. I remember because my brother would always call me girly or whatever because of all the girly anime I'd watch, I made a girl character in Battle Revolution and made a team of all girly Pokemon. it was actually pretty tough, including my Milotic, Wigglytuff, Celebi, and a few more I can't remember.
spent days breeding the perfect Feebas for that, including its Nature and everything.

Re: Pokemon Topic
D/P had some good things going for it, such as the Physical/Special split, online features, and an enemy team that came VERY close to accomplishing their goals (closer than any other team had at the time, especially in Platinum). However, overall the batch of Pokemon were somewhat underwhelming. There weren't as many new families introduced as in past generations; it was bogged down by Legendaries and evolutionary relatives to past Pokemon, and the overall number of Gen 4 Pokemon was pretty small, too.
Of course, I actually maxed out the clock in Diamond, and I still have that file even though I don't play it anymore, so for what it's worth, it was a good game at the time.
